Hester Ellis
As an ecological artist I explore a mixed media expression of time, environment, growth and play. Through foraging for dye plants, creating ritualistic bundles, burying work and archiving unpredictable communications I am connected to Nature. Letting go of control is important to me, as I thrive off the forces that surround us and seek outcomes that I alone cannot create. My artistic practice and creative drive is solely reliant on that of the natural world and therefore it is my hope to shed light on the possibilities that sustainable creativity holds.
